Job Description
Sr. Operations Manager is responsible to direct and manage the day-to-day activities of an organization’s operations and implement the right processes and practices across the organization. They are expected to be a responsible leader with an analytical and strategic mind and have a broad knowledge of the business.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
- Improving operational management systems, processes and best practices
- Helping the organization’s processes remain legally compliant
- Implement company policies, procedures, and initiatives
- Evaluate and enhance current operational systems
- Formulate strategic and operational objectives
- Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability
- Manage budgets and forecasts
- Perform quality controls and monitor KPIs
- Recruit, train and oversee the team performance and ensure maximum productivity
- Find ways to increase the quality of customer service
- Monitor performance against current operational goals and develop reporting and auditing processes used to analyze operational effectiveness
- Mentor and motivate teams to achieve productivity and engagement
- Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department
Required Skills and Abilities
- Proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting
- Familiarity with business and financial principles
- Excellent communication skills
- Leadership ability
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with all business functions including HR, finance, and IT
- Experience with implementing IT systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Experience and Educational Qualification
- A minimum of 7 years of industry-related experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, Operations Management, or similar industry-related field required
- A master’s degree would be preferred
